Hike Glymur waterfall with accommodation at hotel Laxarbakki
When the Hvalfjardargong tunnel leading from the south to the north of Iceland, was opened in 1998, Hvalfjordur became a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
We offer a hike to one of these places in Hvalfjordur, to one of the highest waterfalls in Iceland, Glymur, 198 m. It´s a fact that many Icelanders love outdoor activities.
Hiking is one of them which should not come as a surprise since Iceland is a land of mountains and ridges that provide endless hiking opportunities.
It's not visible from the road so yes, you have to put your boots on and get into your exercise mode.
The waterfall drops into a mossy green extremely majestic canyon so this hike is worth every minute and is not that difficult even though you need to face some challenges on your way up.
